General info

  • What are the opening days?

    From October 21 to December 11, open every weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), every day during school holidays, public holidays and the day before public holidays. Variable schedule depending on the sunset. Please refer to the times indicated in the ticket office.

  • Where does the experience take place?

    At the Castle of la Hulpe domain. All information about mobility via this link.

  • How long is the visit?

    The walk takes between 50 minutes and 1h30. Once inside Lanterna Magica, you can complete the walk at your own pace.

  • How long is the walk?

    The walk is 2,5 km.

  • Is this activity suited for young children?

    It is a real forest walk of 2,5 km. The course is not scary but magical and fairytale-like.

  • Can I bring my dog?

    Yes, dogs are allowed, but they must be kept on a leash on the trail. Don’t forget to take your dog waste bags with you.

  • What to wear?

    The walk takes place on practicable paths. However, the park can be muddy in places. We advise you to wear hiking shoes or rubber boots as well as to put on warm and waterproof clothes.

  • What time should I show up?

    Please arrive at the Lanterna Magica entrance during the time slot indicated on your ticket. You can arrive half an hour after the time indicated on your ticket. If it says 7 p.m., you can arrive between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For car drivers, mobility around Lanterna Magica can be complicated, please take this into account when planning your travel time.

  • Are there toilets available?

    Yes, the toilets are only at the beginning and at the end of the route (€ 0,5).

  • Is there food and drinks on site?

    Yes, it is possible to drink and eat on site at the end of the route (sweet and savory snacks).

  • Where to stay?

  • With the works on the Chaussée de la Hulpe, what is the mobility plan?

  • Is there a car park? Do I need to pay for it?

    Yes, there are car parks available (free and paid). All information about car parks via this link.

  • How does the shuttle bus work?

    For people parking far from the Lanterna Magica entrance, we are setting up a shuttle system with different stops between the station of La Hulpe and the Lanterna Magica entrance at the price of € 3/person for a back and forth trip. Click here for more information.

  • How to get to Lanterna Magica RTL by public transport?

    By train via La Hulpe station (accessible via a shuttle bus available at the price of € 3/person for a round trip). By bus via TEC line 366. La Hulpe Three Columns stop.

  • Can I come by bike?

    You can store your bicycle at the entrance. However, for safety reasons, the route cannot be covered by bicycle.

Accessibility

  • Is the event accessible for prams and push chairs?

    Bring a pushchair with big wheels as there are gravel paths on the route. It is therefore accessible for prams, but keep in mind that it is effectively a real forest walk.

  • Is the event accessible for people with reduced mobility?

    It is possible to do the walk with a wheelchair. However, it is still a walk in the forest with gravel paths. So, you will need a wheelchair with good wheels and a good companion. With your disabled ticket, you have access to the VIP parking on presentation of this ticket and the Disabled card. As the car park is 200m from the entrance, we invite you to first drop off your passengers at Kiss&Ride n°1 (please follow the signs on site).

    Via the online ticket office or on site depending on availability.

  • What should I do if I have lost or forgotten my ticket?

  • Do I have to print my ticket or can I show it on my smartphone?

    Tickets will be scanned at the entrance on your smartphone or on paper.

  • Who can I contact if there is a problem with my ticket?

  • What happens to my ticket in case of bad weather?

    We will only allow to postpone your visit if the park will be closed due to a storm. We will not reschedule tickets in case of rain.

  • Can I get my ticket refunded?

    Once your reservation has been made, it is not possible to get a refund.

  • Is my ticket still valid if I arrive later than the reserved time?

    If you do not arrive during the time slot mentioned on your ticket, we cannot guarantee you entry. However, we will try to get you in later, if possible.

  • Can I make a change in my reservation (time, date, number)?

    Once your reservation has been made, it is not possible to make any changes.

  • Can I change a child ticket for a standard (adult) ticket?

    Once your reservation has been made, it is not possible to make any changes.

  • What is the surprise package?

    The surprise package consists of a goodie bag filled with Lanterna Magica RTL souvenirs. VIP parking & shuttle bus are not included in the package. These have to be booked and paid separately. Please be aware that this package does not include an entrance ticket. 

  • What is the surprise duo package?

    The surprise package consists of a goodie bag filled with Lanterna Magica RTL souvenirs for 2. It also includes a spot on the VIP parking.  Please be aware that this package does not include entrance tickets.

  • What is the surprise family package?

    The surprise package consists of a goodie bag filled with Lanterna Magica RTL souvenirs for 4. It also includes a spot on the VIP parking.  Please be aware that this package does not include entrance tickets.

RATE

  • What are the rates?

    There are 3 rates available. Prices vary depending on the day of your reservation. We invite you to consult the prices on the ticketing platform. - STANDARD from 13 to 64 years old - CHILD from 4 to 12 years old / SENIOR (65 +) / DISABLED PERSON - GNOME until and including 3 years

  • From what age is the ticket paid?

    Entrance is free for children up to and including 3 years old. Please make the GNOME reservation at € 0 in order to respect of the on-site capacity.

  • Is there a special rate for groups?

    Yes, only for groups from 50 people. Please contact info@lanternamagica.be for more info.

  • Can I buy a ticket on site?

    Yes, it will be possible to buy tickets on site if the event is not full. We invite you to keep yourself informed via the online ticket office.

SANITARY MEASURES

  • What happens to my ticket if Lanterna Magica is postponed or canceled due to the coronavirus crisis?

    If special measures will be imposed by the government, the event will strictly obey them in terms of flow management and implementation throughout the route. In case of postponement, tickets will remain valid for the new dates. In case of cancellation, tickets will be refunded.
